Exterior Grounds and Pool

The grounds are 100 meters back along a private road that branches from the main coastal road that runs along the western shoreline of Barbados. This makes it quieter and more private than most villas found along the coast.

The grounds are surrounded by lush tropically landscaped gardens. The swimming pool is set up against a natural alcove of fauna, with loungers and an umbrella for shade. There is also a gazebo area for dining, having a refreshing drink, or for whiling away an afternoon.

Gibbs Lodge is designed to be a very private space where you can do what you want, when you want. In the sun, in the shade, or inside for an air conditioned nap should that be called for.

Gibbs Beach and Mullins Beach

The property is 190 meters from Gibbs beach, and is less than a 3 minute walk to the waters edge. Gibbs is one of the most secluded, beautiful and unspoilt stretches of beach in all of Barbados. It looks exactly like the pictures and is absolutely pristine, with excellent swimming and snorkeling.

The property is also very close to Mullins beach, which is 500 meters and has a walking time of about 5 minutes. Mullins is a significantly more popular beach, and for many years was the site of the popular Mullins Beach bar. There is a fantastic new restaurant and beach club opened called Sea Shed Barbados. There is also a quaint little beach shack bar called Adrians which is a good place to watch the sun go down.

The beach itself at Mullins remains free for everyone to use. You will find watersports rentals on Mullins beach, as well as some coral to snorkel. In terms of swimming Mullins is beautiful beach, but a bit smaller and closer to the road than Gibbs beach, which is less popular but the better of the two beaches for water activities.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom has been furnished with a king sized bed and a high efficiency air conditioner to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

There is ample wardrobe space and a large desser for your clothes. There is a private ensuite bathroom attached to the master bedroom.

Guest Bedrooms (Bedrooms 2 & 3)

There are two air conditioned guest bedrooms. One is furnished with a queen sized bed, and the other with two double beds. Each has ample wardobe space and a dresser for clothes.

Each of the guest bedrooms has it's own ensuite bathroom with shower so no sharing of bathrooms is necessary between guests.

Living Room and Dining Room

The living and dining rooms are open concept, with both forming part of a large central area, which is the heart of the home. The entire back wall can be opened completely to extend the living room space onto the a large covered outdoor living space.

There are two covered dining areas, one indoor and one outdoor, each of which is capable of comfortably seating 6 people. The outdoor living space is covered from rain and can be used at all times.

High speed internet is connected to LED TV so you can stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, or you can use the Playstation 4.

Outdoor Living Space

Collapsible folding doors open the entire back of the house onto a large outdoor living space. This is the area the most guests will spend by far the most of their time in. It has everything you need including an outdoor TV, a sofa, reading chairs, a full dining area, and sun loungers. It is the perfect place to sit and relax, watch TV, listen to music, or take in the beautiful and lush garden scenery.

Pool and Gardens

The pool and gardens are a tropical paradise. You will enjoy total privacy while you are surrounded by lush tropical gardens in every direction.

Kitchen

The kitchen if fully furnished and outfitted with everything you might need during your stay. There is an gas range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, tea kettle, blender, pots, pans, and everything else you would expect in a gourmet kitchen.
